Innovation during COVID-19: Transforaminal spine fusion (TLIF) advances

Surgery and innovation doesn't stop due to COVID-19. Doctors at Mayo Clinic are continuing to innovate to treat patients suffering from back pain and degenerative disc issues.

Mayo Clinic surgeons are now offering awake and robotic transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF), a minimally invasive procedure to help stabilize the spine.

Robotic TLIF may be appropriate for patients suffering from back pain as a result of disc herniation, spinal stenosis and other conditions, including lumbar radiculopathy and spondylolisthesis.
