Utilizing these quick stretches can help with many different causes of low back pain. These are beginner-level stretches and can be done by most people.
These stretches can be done in a few different ways. First, you can apply a simple set and rep scheme; 2-3 sets of 5-10 repetitions. You can also use your breath to measure how long to do these movements. I will usually direct patients to hold these stretches between 5-10 breaths.
When stretching, you can increase your stretch on your exhale and pause on your inhale. I would also recommend not pushing past a 3-5 level of pain with the stretch.
