16 MIN PILATES FOR BACK PAIN - gentle pain relief stretches | Mat Pilates

A 16 min program to help you reduce back pain and move with more ease. It is a gentle class to encourage some mobility and release tight muscles. I have added in some gentle deep core work to help offload the glutes and lower back.

Equipment needed: theraband and spikey ball/trigger point ball.

These exercises are intended to provide you with spinal mobility in conjunction with prescriptive stretching to de-load the surrounding muscles and in turn, take tension off the lower back.

Please note: DO NOT continue to work through movements that increases your pain levels. If you feel numbness, tingling, sharp shooting or burning nerve pain please ease off with the stretch/move or stop completely. The movements provided should be tolerable. I advise you to book in with a Physiotherapist should you need further investigation on your cause of pain.

Enjoy! The aim is to feel more mobile and stretched!

Please check with your physiotherapist/health practitioner/doctor if these exercises and stretches are suitable for you. As always please listen to your body and stop if you experience any pain.

I hope you feel much better after completing these stretches.
